We made it

We made it! 30 hours from Bimini to the Exumas!

Took the dogs to the beach, and then went for a swim to check the anchors. Was greeted by a friendly remora cleaning the hull. Boy the locals here really are nice 🐟⛵️

Feels good to finally be anchored off a sandy beach surrounded by other cruising boats. The Exumas have been the big goal of the trip and we finally made it.

Time to settle into the routine of island cruising life for the next 2 months, boy it feels good to finally be back on island time 🏝️

The places we stopped all along the way were nice, but there’s nothing like a proper island with a sandy beach. Feels like home.

I think tomorrow we will enjoy a day here getting caught up on rest from the last two days. Maybe Thursday we will start working our way down the chain. First stop will likely be Norman Cay. Home of Carlos Ledher’s drug smuggling operation in the 70s & 80s. There are planes to scuba dive that I can’t wait to see.
