Happy Saturday! We did some sailing today!

Never even started the engine… just hoisted the anchor, unrolled the Genoa and sailed off….

We had a nice light downwind run about 14nm to Shroud Cay. T’was a lovely day.

We are now in the boundaries of the Exumas Land & Sea National Park. Which means no fishing or lobstering. It’s a stunning spot. We are only in about 7’ of water, another reason we bought a boat with a 4’ draft…

Inside those little islands the water varies from 1’ to 3‘. We took the dinghy into one of the small cays to explore, and since it was small and isolated from any other piece of land I left the boys run off leash for the first time in a long time. Hurley immediately started looking for trash…

Bosun is refining his fishing skills, but still doesn’t understand that she shouldn’t drink salt water 🙄 how he would survive in the wild is beyond me.

I marked the island on my chart plotter as Basenji Cay. Maybe we will return on our way back north.

Tomorrow we will do another short hop south. To where? I have no idea yet. 😎
