Motored down to Staniel Cay today, time for some fuel and water

Motored down to Staniel Cay today, time for some fuel and water… Another windless day, so the water was unbelievably calm, would be nice to sail but I’ll never complain about beautiful calm water.

I took a swim at the Thunderball Grotto, one of the filming locations for the bond film Thunderball. The cast and crew hung out at the Yacht Club here when filming back in 1964, there are pictures of them all over the bar.

There is a pretty strong current, at least 1.5-2knts ripping through here which makes swimming while holding a GoPro difficult, but once you swim under the rock and pop up in the middle it’s a pretty cool experience. Tons of fishies!
