I just realized it has been a bit since I've posted an update

I just realized it has been a bit since I’ve posted an update! You know what they say, “Time Flies when you’re having Rum!”

Our buddy boat adventures with Explore With Perseverance and Sailing Sommer Wind have continued since I last posted..

We checked out the famous swimming pigs at Staniel Cay (no the dogs did not come with) we also found some sharks at the Staniel Cay YC that we got to spend some time in the water with.

I had a friend fly in for a few days, he arrived in Staniel on Friday and we started heading south to Georgetown on Saturday. The weather was PERFECT for sailing south. 15+knots and able to sail in the lee of land the whole way so it wasn’t too rough.

Unfortunately due to an unexpected work complication, my new crew had to cut his trip short by a few days, so we spent one night at Lee Stocking Island, an abandoned research facility, then continued south to Georgetown Sunday.

We met back up with Perseverance and Sommer Wind for a great Sunday funday on the beach playing the cruisers version of beer pong and making new friends.

Not much on the agenda this week. Just getting some work done, it’s amazing how slow time moves down here… I’ve got more friends coming to visit April 1, so we have some downtime to just kind of relax and start planning for our inevitable return to Chicago. I’ve been reaching out to boat yards in Florida for summer storage.
