We are trucking along on the Erie Canal!

Stopped just after lock 20 this evening. At this rate we should be in Tonawanda by Sunday night, and hopefully stepping the mast Monday!

We have been able to do about 50 miles a day, which when you factor in lock times is not bad. The locks only operate from 8am to 6pm.

I’ve been shocked at how few boats we have seen. I know there is a big pack ahead of us, for for the most part we have been locking through alone, which is great because we don’t have to wait on any stragglers.

Hoping to make it 53 miles to lock 23 on the other side of Oneida Lake tomorrow.
